On Tuesday, 'Al-Riyadiyah' reported, citing British newspaper 'The Athletic', that Al-Hilal Club Company's management had reached an agreement with its counterpart at West Ham United to purchase the remaining duration of the contract of Dutch international winger Crysencio Summerville, revealing that the transfer fee is approximately £55 million plus £5 million in add-ons, bringing the total deal to €70 million, with Summerville set to sign a long-term contract with the capital club. If his transfer to Al-Hilal is officially completed, Summerville, 24, will experience his first stint outside Europe after spending two seasons with West Ham, which was relegated to the English second-tier Championship after finishing 18th in the Premier League last season with 39 points, ending a 14-year stay in the top flight. Summerville began his career at the Feyenoord academy in the Netherlands before moving to Leeds in 2020, gradually establishing himself in the first team, and then joined West Ham in August 2024 on a five-year contract with an option for an additional year. Summerville played 34 matches for West Ham across all competitions last season, scoring seven goals, before boosting his stock by scoring two goals and providing two assists for the Netherlands in four matches during the 2026 World Cup.
