Besiktas denies reaching agreement with Mohamed Salah
Besiktas has officially denied reports that claimed an agreement had been reached with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah regarding his transfer to the club in the upcoming period, stressing that the circulated information about negotiations or terms of the deal has no connection to reality.
The club said in an official statement: "Our club confirms that what was published by journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu on digital platforms regarding the club's transfer negotiations and what was rumored about the terms of some deals has no connection to reality and is nothing but baseless allegations."
The statement added that the Turkish club rejects what it described as misleading news, pointing out that the circulated information is in no way related to the team's transfer file.
In the same context, Mohamed Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, responded to the news that spoke about the player's destination being decided, hinting at the inaccuracy of reports that suggested his imminent move to a specific club.
Abbas wrote on his account on the 'X' platform: "I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season.. What does that tell you?"
The Egyptian star's agent had previously confirmed that Salah's future has not been decided yet, and Abbas said: "It is not our style to enter into negotiations with clubs that Mohamed does not want to play for, just to stir up media hype."
Pages interested in player transfers on social media platforms reported that Turkish journalist Yagiz Oglu had reported the news of Mohamed Salah's transfer to Besiktas, which was widely circulated in recent days.
Mohamed Salah's destination for next season remains a subject of anticipation, as speculation about his future continues, while those close to the player confirm that the final decision has not been made yet.
