Al Hilal Club has decided the fate of its star and captain Salem Al-Dawsari for the upcoming season, following reports linking him to a departure from the club.

Media reports had revealed that Salem Al-Dawsari was close to moving to Al-Diriyah or the Qatari league next season, as he was no longer in the plans of Italian Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of Al Hilal.

Other reports also mentioned Inzaghi's desire to rely on 'Al-Tornado' from the bench, which strengthens the possibility of his departure from the team.

However, the Saudi newspaper 'Al Yaum' confirmed that Al Hilal has decided to keep Salem Al-Dawsari for the next season, without approving his departure.

The upcoming season will be the last for the Saudi star with 'Al-Za'eem', as he signed a two-year contract in 2025, which ends at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 season.

It is worth mentioning that Salem Al-Dawsari is one of Al Hilal's greatest legends in history, but he suffered a decline in his performance with the team last season under Inzaghi's leadership, as well as with the Saudi national team.
