Tomas Roncero, the famous Madrid journalist for the Spanish newspaper "AS", demanded Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, to bring back the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nassr, to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the home of the royal club, eight years after his departure.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid in the summer of 2018, moving to Juventus, where he spent three years, before spending a season and a half with Manchester United, finally settling in the Saudi league with Al-Nassr since the winter of 2023.

The newspaper "AS" published a video of the Spanish journalist, in which he asked Perez to organize a friendly match with Al-Nassr before the start of the new season, with Ronaldo present, to compete for the 40th edition of the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy.

The Santiago Bernabeu Trophy is a tournament that Real Madrid used to hold before the start of each season since 1979, but it stopped at the 39th edition held in 2018.

Roncero's statements open the door to bringing back both the tournament and Ronaldo to the Santiago Bernabeu after an eight-year absence, especially since next season will be the last in the Portuguese star's contract with Al-Nassr, opening the door to his retirement.

It is worth noting that Ronaldo is the all-time top scorer for Real Madrid with 450 goals, scored over nine years wearing the royal club's shirt between 2009 and 2018.
