King Charles and Queen Camilla entered the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in a majestic manner, stepping out of the 'Tardis' vehicle at the start of the opening ceremony.

As the 11-day mega sports event kicked off, Charles and Camilla played a prominent role in the show held at the 'Hydro Arena' in Glasgow, according to the 'British News Agency'.

More than 3,000 athletes from 74 countries and territories are competing in 10 sports and six para-sports.

During the pre-show of the opening ceremony in Glasgow, the mascot 'Vinnie' the unicorn entertained the audience, as Scottish wrestler 'Grado' appeared dressed as a teacake.

The show then began with a video clip of the famous phone booth from the series 'Doctor Who' traveling across Scotland.
