(CNN)-- Music was not the only focus of the first musical performance in the history of the 2026 World Cup final; fashion also formed an essential part of the scene, as the participating stars' looks combined their artistic identities, the spirit of the global event, and luxurious couture designs.

American artist Madonna caught attention with a detail-rich look from the French house Saint Laurent during the halftime of the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain. She appeared alongside Brazilian football legends Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, known as Ronaldo, and Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, known as Ronaldinho.

The design consisted of a light purple 'teddy' jacket in crêpe satin fabric, worn over a silver bra, with a pink corset-inspired waist cincher decorated with straps and metal details. Madonna left the jacket open to reveal her underwear, under which appeared pink shorts.

The look was completed with fishnet stockings, purple thigh-high stockings, purple metallic leather boots that maintained the color gradation up to the knee, plus silver sunglasses and crystal-studded fingerless gloves.

Beside her, both Ronaldo and Ronaldinho appeared in sportswear inspired by Brazil's colors; one predominantly yellow and the other blue.

As for Canadian singer Justin Bieber, he opted for a simpler look, appearing in a polo shirt with a design suggesting two interlocking layers; the top part was dark green with short sleeves over a white collar and sleeves, and he paired it with indigo denim shorts that extended past the knee.

He completed his look with wrinkled socks, sneakers, and black sunglasses, along with diamond-studded earrings that added a luxurious touch to the casual look.

For their part, the South Korean group BTS embodied the spirit of football through looks inspired by sportswear in red, white, and black.

The pieces varied between shirts, track jackets, and short jackets decorated with logos, stars, and soccer ball patches, along with writings bearing the group's name. The trousers also varied between white cargo designs, wide red trousers, and loose black trousers, paired with sneakers and military boots.

American artist Nicole Scherzinger chose a custom couture look in indigo, designed specially for her by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta. The design featured a sculpted cut and a long scarf draped over the shoulders, while the fabric extended downward to cover the shoes, giving her a monochromatic look.

She was accompanied by British artist Robbie Williams, who appeared in a sportswear suit in the same color embellished with shiny details, combining casual style and a showy character, along with Italian singer Paola Pauzini who wore a blue gradient dress.

Artist wearing the Argentine flag

During her performance of the Argentine national anthem, singer María Becerra caught attention with a look that carried the colors of her country's flag; the design had a light, flowing cut, with sheer, flying fabrics.
