Information available to 'Marca' indicates that Argentina's plan is for Messi to continue wearing the Albiceleste shirt in the upcoming period, while emphasizing that he has not decided anything in either direction, as the next big challenge will be his participation in the 2028 Copa América.

Messi's age, 39, may lead to belief that he could retire from international football after the World Cup, but finishing second with that bitter feeling might change something in his calculations, or perhaps not, especially since he already had the idea of continuing with the Argentine national team, as the coming days and months will be decisive in reaching one of the two decisions.

Messi always repeats a logical point regarding his age, which is that he deals with it year by year based on his physical condition.
