Czech Linda Noskova Wins Wimbledon Tennis Title

London, July 11 (QNA) - Czech Linda Noskova claimed the Wimbledon title, the third of the four Grand Slam tournaments, for the first time in her history after defeating her compatriot Karolina Muchova two sets to one in the final today.

The 21-year-old triumphed in the match 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, securing her maiden Grand Slam title.

Noskova (21) sealed the victory after Muchova managed to come back from a 2-5 deficit in the second set, saving several match points before losing three consecutive games.

The title is the first for the Czech in a major tournament, adding her name to the Wimbledon champions' list.
