Al-Qadsiah have entered into competition with Al-Hilal, in order to deprive them of sealing their sixth deal during the current summer transfer window.

Al-Hilal had officially contracted with 5 players: Mohammed Al-Owais, Sabri Dehl, Nawaf Al-Habashi, Abdullah Al-Anzi, and Mohammed Al-Sarnukh.

According to previous press reports, 'Al-Zaeem' was targeting a sixth Saudi player, Mohammed Mahzari, the full-back of Al-Taawoun.

However, Saudi journalist Ahmed Al-Ajlan confirmed that Al-Hilal might lose that deal, after Al-Qadsiah entered into advanced negotiations with Al-Taawoun to sign the Saudi right-back.

Some reports had revealed disagreements between the managements of Al-Hilal and Al-Taawoun regarding the Mahzari deal, due to the latter's exaggeration in his financial demands.

Al-Hilal had already signed a new right-back in the current summer market, namely Mohammed Al-Sarnukh arriving from Al-Fateh.

Mahzari is considered one of the distinguished players in Saudi football, as he even joined the first national team last March to face Serbia, but he was not included in the 'Green' squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Over the past season, the 24-year-old participated in 35 matches with Al-Taawoun in the Saudi League and King Cup, during which he scored one goal and provided two assists.
