Moroccan fans followed in the footsteps of their Mexican counterparts, just hours before facing the French team in the 2026 World Cup.

Morocco faces France today, Thursday, at Gillette Stadium in Boston, USA, in the opening match of the World Cup quarterfinals.

Exactly 24 hours before the match, Moroccan fans used a clever trick to disturb the French players at their current accommodation in Boston, according to French radio station 'Radio Monte Carlo'.

At exactly 11:30 PM on Wednesday evening, Moroccan fans set off noisy fireworks around the hotel designated for the French team, before moving closer to it.

The fans caused extremely loud noises, both at the French team's hotel and in the surrounding buildings, using car horns, chants, and drumbeats.

Security responsible for the French delegation tried to intervene to resolve the matter amicably, and Mohamed Sanhaji, the security officer in charge of 'Les Bleus', succeeded in persuading the fans to leave calmly.

It is worth noting that Mexican fans have been engaging in such behavior during the current World Cup, specifically before the match against Ecuador in the round of 32, and then again before the match against England in the round of 16.
