(CNN)—Egyptian actor Mohamed Henedi, who holds Saudi citizenship, commented on Argentina's victory and its reach to the final of the 2026 World Cup, after defeating the English national team 2-1 on Wednesday.

Henedi posted a photo of Argentine star Lionel Messi in a post on his page on platform X (formerly Twitter), saying in a comment: 'Son, you have no curse, no ill prayer, no schadenfreude, no envy, no... there's no choice but to cheer for you.'

England's only goal came through Anthony Gordon at minute 55, while Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez scored Argentina's brace at minutes 86 and 90+2.

With this result, Argentina qualified for the final match, while the 'Three Lions' team will play the third-place match against France.
