Press reports have revealed that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has set his first choice if he decides to continue in the English Premier League after leaving Liverpool, in a move that could be one of the most exciting transfers in recent years.

Liverpool announced before the end of last season that Salah would leave Anfield at the end of the season, giving him the freedom to choose his next destination amid growing interest from several clubs inside and outside Europe.

Reports linked the player with a move to the Saudi league, while Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have also shown interest in securing his services, but the surprise came with talk of his possible return to Chelsea.

Salah is set to decide his next destination in the next few weeks, after the end of his journey with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup.

According to what the British newspaper The Sun highlighted on Wednesday, 'any offer from Chelsea would be Mohamed Salah's first choice if he decides to stay in the English Premier League.'

If this step materializes, Salah would return to the London club where he played between 2014 and 2016, before leaving in search of a greater opportunity to prove himself.

Meanwhile, the Egypt captain is attracting interest from several leagues around the world, including the American league, the Saudi league, and the Turkish league.

Reports indicated that Salah currently has '3 strong offers' from Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, and Galatasaray, amid intense competition to sign him.

They also clarified that the offers from the Saudi league are not the highest financially compared to some other offers available to the player, which increases the intensity of competition to contract with him.

Salah did not have a real opportunity to prove himself during his first stint at Chelsea, before being loaned to Fiorentina, then moving to Roma, where he began to establish himself as one of the top stars of European football.

The Egyptian star played 19 matches in the Chelsea shirt across various competitions, contributing to the team winning the English Premier League title, before moving to Liverpool in 2017.

Since joining the Reds, Salah has achieved exceptional successes, winning the English Premier League twice, in addition to the UEFA Champions League, and a large number of domestic and continental titles, making him one of the most decorated players in the club's history over the past decade.
