The family of former Liverpool and England star Kevin Keegan announced his death on Monday at the age of 75 after a battle with cancer.

Keegan's family said in a statement carried by Sky Sports: 'With great sadness we announce the death of Kevin Keegan at the age of 75.'

They added: 'The former player and coach had been battling cancer, and his wife and daughters were by his side in his final moments.'

The statement continued: 'Kevin, a two-time Ballon d'Or winner, was a dearly loved husband, father, and grandfather. The family would like to thank the wonderful medical team who treated Kevin for all the support they provided.'
