Algerian star Yassine Brahimi is set to embark on a new chapter in the Saudi Roshen Professional League.

Brahimi, 36, has become a free agent in the current summer transfer window after his contract with Qatari side Al Gharafa expired.

According to Al Riyadiya newspaper, Abha FC has secured Brahimi's signature for a one-season deal.

Abha is preparing for a return to the Saudi Roshen Professional League after winning the First Division (Yelo League) title last season.

Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper reported, citing Algerian sources, that Abha faced stiff competition from Spanish side Malaga for Brahimi's services.

The newspaper noted that Abha's management presented an enticing offer to the Algerian star to clinch the deal.

Abha aims to benefit from Brahimi's experience, having previously played for Porto in Portugal, Granada in Spain, multiple clubs in France, as well as Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa in Qatar.
