Al-Ahli first football team drew 2-2 with Portuguese club Rio Ave in their first friendly match in Portugal, as part of the second phase which continues until the 28th of this month. Al-Ahli took a two-goal lead through international Firas Al-Buraikan and Brazilian Mateus Gonçalves, but the Portuguese team managed to come back and equalize. Al-Ahli had concluded the first phase in Austria last Wednesday, during which they played two matches, winning the first 8-0 against Austrian Binsjau Zalfelden last Saturday, and losing the second 1-4 to German Holstein Kiel last Tuesday. Al-Ahli continues their preparations with a match against Portuguese Vitória Guimarães on the 24th of this month, before playing two matches on the same day, July 28th, against Portimonense at 1:00 PM and English Fulham at 8:00 PM, then returning to Jeddah for a final match against Abha on August 6th.
