The Al-Jouf Club for People with Disabilities is participating in the 10th West Asia Wheelchair Basketball Championship, hosted by Jordan until July 20, with the participation of Al-Mustaqbal (Palestine), Ajyal Al-Ghad (Jordan), and Al-Hadaf (Syria). Al-Jouf begins its participation in the continental championship facing Al-Mustaqbal, then Ajyal Al-Ghad and Al-Hadaf successively. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Jouf's presence in this championship is an extension of its distinguished journey in disability sports, and a reflection of the support and attention that Saudi sports receive, which has contributed to enhancing the presence of clubs and national teams in various regional and international forums. The Al-Jouf delegation arrived in the Jordanian capital Amman, headed by club president Hammoud Al-Shammari, who expressed his pride in representing Saudi Arabia in this regional sporting event. Al-Shammari affirmed that all delegation members are aware of the responsibility placed upon them and are determined to deliver commendable performances that reflect the development of disability sports in Saudi Arabia and strive to win the championship. The matches are played in a two-stage league system, after which the teams finishing first and second qualify for the final match, with expectations of strong competition to crown the champion of the tenth edition.
