Italian club AC Milan has signed Spanish defender Mario Gila from Lazio on a contract until 2023. Milan did not disclose the fee for the 25-year-old, who came through Real Madrid's academy, but Transfermarkt values him at €30 million. Gila, who has played for Lazio since 2022, becomes Milan's second signing of the summer after Portuguese international striker Gonzalo Ramos, who joined from French and European champions Paris Saint-Germain for over €70 million. Milan also signed a new coach, Portuguese Ruben Amorim, replacing Massimiliano Allegri, who lost his job after finishing fifth in Serie A.
