WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said: 'Hannah was an exceptional boxer, but above all, she was an indispensable member of the boxing world. We share the grief of her loved ones, her team, and all who had the honor of knowing and supporting her throughout her remarkable career.' The Brazos County Sheriff's Office confirmed the arrest of a 31-year-old man named Charles Medina, who has been charged with manslaughter in Hannah's death. Hannah, 26, fought against Tiara Brown for the WBC featherweight title last June. The American boxer won eight bouts and drew one in her first nine professional fights. She captured the North American Boxing Federation featherweight title before losing to Brown by unanimous decision.
