His Position Becomes More Complicated.. Real Madrid Star at a Crossroads
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano explained that Manchester United have not opened any official negotiations with Real Madrid to sign the French midfielder, due to Camavinga's clear desire to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu and fight to regain his place in the starting lineup.
He added that the English club identified Camavinga as one of its top targets to bolster the midfield following Casemiro's departure, but it will not move to complete the deal unless the player asks to leave Real Madrid.
Despite the disappointing season the 23-year-old player had in 2025-2026, he is seeking to regain his form and earn the trust of the new coach José Mourinho.
Romano noted that Real Madrid does not mind selling Camavinga to reduce the wage bill, but the player's desire to stay hinders any move towards his departure.
