Swiss Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), praised the historic journey of the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup, sending a message of appreciation to the 'Pharaohs' after the end of their participation in the tournament.

The Egyptian team had bid farewell to the round of 16 after losing to Argentina 2-3 in stoppage time, having been close to reaching the quarter-finals.
