King Khalid Square in Taif Kicks Off Summer Racing Season with 22 Rounds

The King Khalid Equestrian Square in Taif Governorate will launch the summer racing season by holding the first evenings of the first week on Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25, 2026, with a total of (22) rounds, (11) rounds each day, while the total prize money for the first week is (1,495,000) riyals.

The season kicks off with comprehensive organizational and technical readiness from the Horse Racing Club, supported by veterinary and field teams, to ensure the races are held according to the highest organizational standards. Friday will see the preparatory round for the Shubra Cup, open class, over a distance of (1200) meters, with a prize of (120) thousand riyals, featuring the horse First Line under the banner of Al Jaber Stable, the horse Falah Zain under the banner of Sheikh Abdullah Hammoud Al-Malik Al-Sabah, and the mare Abbab Al-Mawj under the banner of Fouad Mohammed Fahd bin Ghashyan.

Also, the preparatory round for the Al-Hada Cup, dedicated to three-year-old horses, over a distance of (1400) meters, with a prize of (120) thousand riyals, will feature the mare Ana Al-Janoubia under the banner of the sons of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and the mare Azmat under the banner of Abdulrahman Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Makhlouf. In the preparatory round for the Al-Masif Cup, open class, over a distance of (1600) meters, with a prize of (120) thousand riyals, the horses Al-Jumani under the banner of Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Al-Mubir under the banner of Nughaimesh Fahd Abdulhadi Al-Ajmi, and Kafilhom under the banner of the sons of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz stand out. Saturday will see the preparatory round for the Umm Al-Qura University Cup, open class for mares, over a distance of (1600) meters, with a prize of (120) thousand riyals, featuring the mare Dance Desire under the banner of Sheikh Abdullah Hammoud Al-Malik Al-Sabah, the mare Konada under the banner of the sons of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and the mare Al-Khansaa under the banner of Abdullah Saeed Al-Maddah. Also, the preparatory round for the Taif Rose Festival Cup, dedicated to three-year-old horses, over a distance of (1600) meters, with a prize of (120) thousand riyals, will feature the mare Makantera under the banner of Abdulrahman Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Makhlouf, the horse Yared Al-Rouh under the banner of Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, and the horse Taweel Shabor under the banner of Al-Ajdil Stable.

The Horse Racing Club invited the residents of Taif Governorate and its visitors to attend the race evenings and enjoy the accompanying events, which include a variety of dining options, hospitality corners, and public activities, noting that entry tickets are available for free through the Webook application.
