Manchester City Signs Young Talent
English club Manchester City announced on Saturday the signing of young player Jeremy Monga to the first team from Leicester City, with a contract extending until 2031. Monga said in his first statement after joining the Sky Blues: 'When I learned that Manchester City was interested in signing me, I immediately realized that this was the right choice for me.' The new player added: 'For any young footballer, joining this wonderful club is a dream come true.' Global media reports revealed that Monga, who turned 17 on Friday, joined City in a deal worth $13 million, including add-ons. Monga, who plays for the England under-19 national team, became the second youngest player to appear in the English Premier League when he made his first-team debut for Leicester City last year, featuring in 37 matches across all competitions for the club, including seven in the Premier League.
