Manchester United surprises Rashford with an exciting decision
Manchester United has called up its winger Marcus Rashford to participate in preseason preparations, a step that may pave the way for him to remain with the team and not leave during the summer transfer window.
Barcelona had succeeded in loaning Rashford last season, where he played 49 matches, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists.
Sport newspaper reported that Barcelona was considering activating Rashford's purchase clause, which amounted to 30 million euros, but preferred to wait, before its plans changed with the signing of Anthony Gordon.
Rashford is aware that his spell with Barcelona is over, and after playing the third-place match in the World Cup against France, he will begin to decide his football future.
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, United has decided to call up the player to participate in preseason under the leadership of his coach Michael Carrick, who wants to assess the possibility of keeping him.
Rashford had left Manchester United due to his differences with former coach Ruben Amorim, but his departure was not final, especially as his contract with the club extends until summer 2028.
The player's future is expected to be decided after the end of the preseason preparations, with Rashford himself participating in the final decision.
On the other hand, Manchester United maintains a clear stance of not allowing the player to leave again on loan, as the club will only agree to his departure through a permanent transfer deal.
