Matthäus: Probability of Olise moving to Real Madrid is zero
German football legend Lothar Matthäus downplayed reports about French international Michael Olise's desire to move to Real Madrid, stressing that Bayern Munich has absolutely no intention of letting go of their player.
According to German newspaper Bild, Matthäus' comments came in response to reports claiming that Olise had informed some of his France teammates of his desire to join the royal club.

Matthäus said: 'Personally, I understand the desire to play for Real Madrid. Every player dreams of playing there at some point.'
He added: 'But Bayern Munich won't even open talks. They'll just laugh at these headlines. The possibility of Olise playing for Real Madrid next season is practically zero. I think Bayern Munich will extend his contract and increase his salary.'
According to Bild, the Bavarians remain determined to keep the 24-year-old right winger and intend to offer him a contract extension with an annual salary exceeding 25 million euros, making him one of the highest-paid players in the squad.
For now, it is considered very unlikely that Olise will insist on leaving, as he has no history of causing problems and is happy at Bayern Munich, according to the German newspaper.
