Dark Angel achieved the first title of the 2026 World Cup after defeating in the final Japan's Kenta Ichihara, representing team Virtus Pro, with a score of (5 - 1), following an exceptional journey where he overturned a (0 - 3) deficit against Reynald Tacuan, an Elite Esports player, in the quarterfinals to a thrilling (5 - 4) victory, before surpassing Japan's Naoki Nemoto, known as Nemo, in the semifinals with a (4 - 3) result. The champion received a cash prize of $250,000 out of the total competition prize of $1 million, granting his team NaVi 1000 points in the club rankings, while Nemo secured third place after defeating his compatriot Lagia with a score of (5 - 2), adding 500 points to the account of team Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto. In the "Apex Legends" competition, the Japanese team Unlimit, composed of YulariMan, XTSOFI, and Bise, returned to the podium after securing the title in the tenth round via a decisive match (3 vs 2) against compatriot Zeta Division. Player Bise took advantage of the high ground to eliminate his last opponent and give his team the title, and was also crowned the tournament's Most Valuable Player, recording 39 eliminations, 35 assists, and 50 kills during the competition.
