Saudi Al-Ahli Club officially announced the signing of Portuguese Francisco Trincão from Sporting Lisbon, after a long series of negotiations.

Thus, Trincão becomes Al-Ahli's fourth signing in the current transfer window, following Gambian defender Abubakar Sidi Kenté from Norwegian Tromsø, Saudi winger Mishal Al-Mutairi from Abha, and Armenian Eduard Spertsyan from Russian Krasnodar.

This comes as Al-Ahli is close to finalizing another deal, namely midfielder Nayef Masoud, who will join from Al-Fateh Club.

Al-Ahli published a video on its official account on social media platform "X", showing Trincão signing contracts and wearing the Al-Raqi shirt, which bears the number 7.

Al-Raqi wrote on its account: "From the land of sailors.. he came to dive into the depths of history", referring to his joining Al-Ahli's ranks.

Al-Raqi succeeded in clinching the deal after a series of negotiations, having competed with several European clubs that wanted to acquire the player.
