The administration of Al-Diriyah Club revealed on Thursday the signing of former Saudi national team goalkeeper Amin Bukhari, via the club's official account on the 'X' platform. Special sources told 'Al-Riyadiya' that the capital club reached an agreement with Bukhari to sign a one-year professional contract with an option to extend, with the goalkeeper set to undergo a medical examination before signing officially at the team's training camp currently being held in Sweden. Bukhari (29 years old) has a rich career, which he began in the youth categories of Al-Ittihad Club in 2012, reaching the first team in 2018, then moved between Al-Nasr, Al-Ain, Al-Ettifaq, Damac, and Al-Fateh, before his contract with the latter ended last season. Al-Diriyah Club had announced on July 11 of this month the signing of Bosnian goalkeeper Nikola Vasili for two seasons after he passed the medical examination in Germany.

Al-Diriyah's signing of Bukhari comes within the club's plans to strengthen the goalkeeper position in preparation for next season.

Thus, Al-Diriyah adds a former international goalkeeper with great experience in the Saudi League, enhancing the team's defensive options. Moreover, signing two new goalkeepers in one transfer window indicates the club's desire to build a strong foundation between the posts. It is noteworthy that Bukhari has previously represented the Saudi national team on several occasions, and he hopes to revive his career with his new club. The team's preparation is expected to be completed during the Swedish camp in readiness for official competitions.
