"Post Malone" to perform main show at 2026 World Cup closing ceremony

(CNN)-- American singer Austin Richard Post, known as "Post Malone", will perform at the closing ceremony of the 2026 World Cup, before the final match between Argentina and Spain, at MetLife Stadium in New York, New Jersey, Sunday, July 19 next.
The ceremony will last 90 minutes, according to FIFA's announcement; "celebrating the unforgettable 39-day journey that united the world across Canada, Mexico and the United States."
"Post Malone" will deliver the main show at the ceremony, featuring performances by: Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, and American content creator Darren Jason Watkins Jr. known as IShowSpeed, and actor Tom Cruise will have a special appearance at the 2026 World Cup closing ceremony.
American star Jennifer Hudson will perform the US national anthem before the 2026 World Cup final.
During the halftime break of the match, the famous Korean pop group "BTS", Shakira with Burna Boy, Justin Bieber, Madonna, and renowned violinist and maestro Gustavo Dudamel will present what FIFA described as a "historic show", in collaboration with the "Global Citizen" organization.
