Rodri 'best passer' in World Cup history
Rodri, captain of Spain, helped his country qualify for the 2026 World Cup final after a 2-0 win over France on Tuesday.
Statistics network Opta reported that Rodri's completed passes in the current World Cup edition reached 655.

It added: 'This is the highest number of passes by a single player in a World Cup since statistics began in the 1966 World Cup.'
Pedri started in all seven matches Spain played in the tournament. He completed every match except the opening encounter against Cape Verde, where he left the field in the 87th minute.
