AlUla Club Company signed a formal contract with Honduran professional Romell Quioto, bolstering the first football team's ranks in preparation for the 2026/2027 sports season.

The CEO of AlUla Club Company, Waleed Abdul Razzaq Muaz, confirmed that signing Quioto is part of the club's plan to strengthen the team with distinguished elements, pointing to the player's experience in local competitions and expressing hope that it will contribute to achieving the club's goals in the upcoming season.

For his part, Quioto expressed his happiness at wearing the AlUla shirt, saying: 'I am happy to join AlUla Club, and I thank the club's management for their trust in me. Since the beginning of negotiations, I have sensed an ambitious project and a real desire to achieve success, which encouraged me to take on this experience.'

He added: 'I look forward to giving my all on the pitch, contributing with my teammates to achieving the club's aspirations and making its fans happy, ultimately reaching the goal of promotion in the upcoming season.'

Milestones in Quioto's career

Quioto, 34, is considered one of the most prominent players of the Honduras national team in recent years, as he is skilled in playing as a forward and winger, distinguished by his speed and ability to create and score goals. He has played over 80 international matches for his country's national team and scored 19 goals.

Romell Quioto began his professional career with Honduran club Vida in 2010, before moving to Olimpia, with whom he won several local titles. He also had a short stint in Europe with Polish club Wisła Kraków.

The player had a notable experience in Major League Soccer (MLS), where he played for Houston Dynamo and then Canadian side Montreal, delivering impressive performances, especially with Montreal, where he recorded good attacking numbers during his time in the MLS.

In 2024, Quioto moved to Saudi stadiums through Al-Arabi, and then continued his experience in the Roshn Saudi League with Al-Najma, before returning to take on a new experience with Al-Faisaly, continuing his presence in Saudi football.
