Saudi Boxing Team Continues Achievements, Winning Multiple Medals at 2026 Braga Open
The Saudi national boxing team concluded its participation in the 2026 Braga Open, held in Portugal, achieving 17 medals, a new addition to the record of Saudi boxing achievements, reflecting the continuous development the sport is witnessing at both technical and competitive levels.
For the first time in the history of the Saudi Boxing Federation, the tournament recorded international gold medals, along with the largest medal haul in a single international tournament, after the Saudi team won 17 medals.

The tournament saw strong competition with the participation of 129 national teams and clubs from various countries around the world, where Saudi players delivered outstanding technical performances resulting in 7 gold medals, and 10 silver and bronze medals. The gold medals were won by Nawaf Al-Anzi, Abdulrahman Al-Humaidan, Fares Al-Maliki, Firas Al-Subhi, Nawaf Awaji, Abdulrahman Sadiq, and Rival Al-Muhaisen. The silver medals were won by Anas Al-Madani, Ali Al-Awa, Nawaf Al-Juhani, Badr Al-Hudhali, and Dana Al-Anzi. The bronze medals were won by Ismail Al-Qasimi, Abdullah Darkazli, Mubarak Al-Saihi, Aiham Al-Humaidan, and Ahmed Hanbas.
This participation is part of the Saudi Boxing Federation's efforts to prepare and develop the national team across different age groups, through participation in international tournaments and exposure to prominent global schools, contributing to technical performance development, gaining more experience, and enhancing the Kingdom's presence in various continental and international forums.
The Braga Open is one of the most prominent international boxing tournaments, held this year in its ninth edition, with wide participation from national teams and clubs from around the world, making it an important station to raise players' readiness, gain experience, and enhance competition levels ahead of upcoming international events.
