The Saudi mathematics team has returned to Saudi Arabia after achieving the best result in its history at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), winning 6 international medals (3 silver and 3 bronze) in the 67th edition hosted by the city of Shanghai, China, amidst competition that included 660 students from 117 countries.

The silver medals were won by: Youssef Ayman Bakhit from the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Abdulsalam Abdullah Al-Sulami from the General Education Administration in Medina, and Abdulilah Mohammed Al-Suqaf from the General Education Administration in Jeddah. The bronze medals were awarded to Elias Shakir Al-Faraj, Abdullah Tariq Al-Amir from the General Education Administration in the Eastern Province, and Fares Mohammed Al-Kanhal from the General Education Administration in Riyadh.

This achievement raised the Kingdom's total in the International Mathematical Olympiad to 88 international awards since it began participating in 2004, including 15 silver medals, 51 bronze medals, and 22 certificates of appreciation, reflecting the continuous development of Saudi students' levels in global scientific competitions.
