The Saudi youth handball team secured its place in the 2027 World Youth Championship 'Macedonia 2027' after advancing to the semi-finals of the 19th Asian Championship, following a deserved victory over its Kuwaiti counterpart (25-23) in the quarter-final match that brought them together today, Friday, in China, as the Green continues its global presence for the sixth time in its history.

The Saudi team imposed its control over the course of the match from the first minutes, opening the game with a remarkable series of 6 unanswered goals in the first seven minutes, before continuing its dominance both defensively and offensively, ending the first half with a score of 13-7. It then maintained its advantage until the final whistle, securing the qualification card to the semi-finals and at the same time guaranteeing qualification to the World Championship 'Macedonia 2027'.

This achievement is an extension of the journey of Saudi handball, affirming the continuous work witnessed in the sport at various levels, amid the development of national teams and their continued presence in continental and international forums. For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Handball Federation, Hassan bin Nasr Hilal, expressed his highest gratitude and appreciation to the leadership for the unlimited support and attention given to the sports sector, which contributed to achieving many accomplishments at all levels.
