Italian world number one Jannik Sinner defeated third-ranked German Alexander Zverev 6-7 (7-9), 7-6 (7-2), 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday to retain his Wimbledon title, the third of tennis's four Grand Slam tournaments. Sinner regained his composure after losing the first set in a match dominated by powerful serves, to claim his fifth Grand Slam title. The 24-year-old Sinner won his sixth title of the year, having already won the first five Masters 1000 events.
