Italian Simone Inzaghi, head coach of Al-Hilal's first football team, has expressed a serious desire to sign his compatriot Alessandro Bastoni, the Inter Milan player, during the summer transfer window which opens next Wednesday, according to Sky Sports, on Monday. The Italian channel indicated that Al-Hilal's management has not sent an official offer to its counterpart at Inter requesting the services of the 27-year-old player. Inzaghi previously oversaw Bastoni's training during his tenure as Inter's head coach for three seasons starting in 2021 before moving to coach Al-Hilal, and led them to win the Italian League title 2023-2024, and the runner-up of the UEFA Champions League twice, in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Bastoni's market value is estimated at around 65 million euros, according to Transfermarkt global website. Bastoni joined Inter from Atalanta in August 2017 for an amount of about 40 million euros. Bastoni has played 43 international matches for his country, the first in November 2020, and was among the squad called up for Euro 2021, which Italy won against England on penalties (3-2) at Wembley Stadium.
