Spanish star Pedro Porro, Tottenham star, spoke about his future during an emotional tribute ceremony held in his hometown of Don Benito, and downplayed the controversy surrounding the World Cup final.

The Tottenham full-back was part of the core of the Spanish national team that won the World Cup after defeating Argentina 1-0 following extra time.

Sport newspaper published Porro's statements in which he said that winning the World Cup title did not satisfy his competitive ambition.

He added: 'There is still a lot to achieve. I am a player with great ambition, and I always seek to learn more. Everyone who knows me knows that I aim for more.'

Pedro Porro also spoke about being deeply moved by the warm reception, and wanted to dedicate this success to everyone who supported him from the beginning.

Porro admitted that he never imagined receiving such an honor, stressing that reaching the top required 'a lot of sacrifices,' especially since he had to leave home to continue his football career.

Regarding his future, Porro confirmed that he will remain with Tottenham, the club he is under contract with, noting that he feels 'very happy' there.

Although he did not close the door on the possibility of playing in Spain again one day, he stressed that his full focus is currently on his journey in England.

The Spanish full-back also added a humorous touch to the occasion when he joked with the audience about the great popularity of his grandfather Antonio Saceda, saying that the reception was 'for him'.

At the end of his speech, Porro downplayed the criticism coming from Argentina and the demands to replay the World Cup final, emphasizing that he had not seen anything related to this matter and that they are 'just things said from outside' and do not concern him personally.
