Luis de la Fuente, the head coach of the Spain national team, criticized the behavior of the players and coaching staff of the Argentina national team following the 2026 World Cup final, describing what happened as "unacceptable behavior."

The end of the match, which Spain won 1-0 after extra time, saw clashes between a number of players from both teams, with some Argentina players, including Nahuel Molina and Leandro Paredes, attacking Spain players after the final whistle, without any sanctions being imposed on them so far.

De la Fuente told official Spanish television: "At that moment I was not aware of what happened, as I was celebrating with the players. But what happened is unacceptable and cannot be allowed, especially when it comes from big players whom I have always praised."

The 'La Roja' coach praised his players' reaction, stressing that they dealt calmly with what he described as "provocations and attacks," noting that the situation could have escalated into more serious incidents.

Despite the widespread dissemination of video clips documenting the incident on social media, no disciplinary measures have been announced yet against the players of the Argentina national team.
