Press reports revealed new developments regarding the future of French striker Karim Benzema with Saudi club Al-Hilal, amid the uncertainty surrounding his situation before the start of the new season of the Saudi Pro League.

According to British journalist Ben Jacobs, Al-Hilal's management has entered into talks with Benzema to decide his future, as the club continues to evaluate its attacking options in the summer transfer market.

The report clarified that Benzema insists on having a starring role within the team and does not wish to continue if he is out of the technical staff's plans or becomes a substitute player next season.

He added that the French striker completely rejects the scenario circulated in some Saudi media, which stipulates that he be registered only for participation in the AFC Champions League Elite matches, without being on the domestic team list.

Meanwhile, Al-Hilal continues to monitor the striker market, as it studies signing a new center forward during the current transfer window, which could be the decisive factor in determining Benzema's future with 'The Leader' in the coming weeks.

It is worth noting that Benzema joined Al-Hilal last January, but he failed to prove himself, especially in major matches. Despite his presence, 'The Leader' was unable to secure the Saudi Pro League and AFC Champions League Elite titles.
