Al-Reddaf Park in Taif will host tomorrow, Friday, July 24, 2026, the activities of the "Community Sports in Public Parks" initiative organized by the Ministry of Sports, with the participation of seven federations and sports committees, in a step reflecting the ministry's continued efforts to spread the culture of sports practice, enhance physical activity among community members, and activate parks and public spaces as vibrant platforms combining sports, entertainment, and awareness.

The initiative comes within the community programs implemented by the Ministry of Sports in various regions and governorates of the Kingdom, aiming to expand the base of sports practitioners, and provide opportunities for all community members to engage in diverse sports experiences in a safe and attractive environment, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a healthier and more vibrant society. Participating in the event are the Saudi Wrestling Federation, the Saudi Boccia Federation, the Saudi Rescue and Water Safety Federation, the Paralympic Athletics Federation, the Saudi Weightlifting Federation, the Saudi Pigeon Racing Committee, and the Saudi Masters Sports Committee. These entities offer introductory programs, interactive corners, and practical demonstrations that enable visitors to learn about each sport's nature and participate in hands-on experiences under the supervision of specialists and accredited coaches.

The event features a designated area for sports experiences, introductory corners for participating federations and committees, along with a main stage hosting numerous accompanying activities and shows, providing visitors with an integrated experience combining fun and benefit, and contributing to raising awareness of the importance of physical activity and its role in enhancing health and quality of life. The initiative also represents an opportunity to introduce community members to various sports, some of which may not be widely known, thereby helping to discover talents, attract new practitioners, and enhance direct communication between sports federations and the public, in addition to establishing the concept of community sports as a daily lifestyle that helps prevent diseases, improve physical fitness, and promote social interaction. Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Sports continues to implement programs aimed at increasing physical activity rates and expanding community participation in sports activities by utilizing public facilities, parks, and gardens, supporting the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 goals in building a vibrant society where individuals enjoy health and activity, making sports a part of daily life for all community members.
