How amazed we were by the extent of Arab and Gulf solidarity with the Arab teams Egypt and Morocco in the recent World Cup. Different Arab nationalities united in their feelings... as if their victory was a victory for all of us, even the injustice that befell some, we felt it as injustice to all of us.

The match duration, no more than 90 minutes only... united millions of Arabs in their feelings, enthusiasm, and love.

This raises a question that may seem innocent... If we Arabs can unite against those who compete with us or seek to overcome us on such sporting occasions, then why does helplessness prevail and dominate the scene and hearts sometimes... when it comes to talk about security, sovereignty, and the future?

All of us Arabs are convinced that the most dangerous thing facing our nation today is not transient political differences, but regional and international challenges that we have experienced in all their stages, the latest being talk about drawing a new map of the Arab reality, redrawing the balance of power, and imposing new facts on the ground, based on interests that recognize only the language of force.

In this scene, Israel remains one of the most prominent parties... which many see as seeking to consolidate the hopes of 'enemy Israel' characterized by its strategic superiority, and it is seriously striving to expand its regional influence, relying on and supported by political and military backing from major powers, foremost of which is the United States of America.

Faced with such challenges, our response must not be seasonal, emotional, or tied to a specific event.

We realized yesterday, today, and tomorrow, that the security of any Arab state is not a local matter concerning it alone, but is part of the security of the entire nation, because any Arab country that thinks the danger will stop at its borders is not reading history well.

Major projects do not jump immediately to the final goal first, but are preceded by small, spaced-out steps, through which reactions are tested, then they expand, as these projects thrive on vacuums and divisions.

We may differ in policies, and visions may diverge, and this is natural among states.

Our past Arab history has proven and continues to prove to us that division... is the greatest gift we can offer to those who await our weakness.

How much we Arabs in general, and the Gulf in particular, need the feelings of unity we see in stadiums to transform into a permanent culture, a political will, and a popular belief that what unites us is far greater than what divides us.

No matter how huge the population... it does not protect; rather, its cohesion and unity are what matter.

Since I am a Gulf woman, Gulf security is indivisible, and any military, political, or expansionist threat targeting a particular Gulf state must be viewed as a threat to a system of states bound not only by geography, but by a system of security, destiny, and future.

Therefore, the strongest message that Gulf states can send is not in the number of missiles, nor in the size of armies, but in their unified word.

It does not matter whether the source of the threat is Israel, Iran, or any other power, because the principle must remain constant and unchanging.
