The Twelfth Round of Qatar's Longines Hathab Equestrian Tour Kicks Off
Doha, April 30 (QNA) – The competitions of the twelfth round of the ninth edition of Qatar's Longines Hathab Equestrian Tour kicked off on Thursday evening at the main arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, organized jointly by the federation and Al Shaqab – a member of Qatar Foundation, as part of a series extending to 14 rounds.
The round, which lasts for three days, opened with the Amateur Round at 100 cm, followed by the Silver Round at 130 cm, with notable participation from riders.
In the Amateur Round, rider Qa'qa' bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani took first place with a time of 29.78 seconds on horse "Bon Suwaileh". Second place went to rider Milena Wierla with a time of 30.11 seconds on "Nevada", while rider Nasser Hamad Al Thani came third with a time of 30.17 seconds on "Equinox".
In the Silver Round, rider Madi Al Khamees achieved first place after a distinguished performance, recording a time of 52.18 seconds and 65 points on horse "Befor". Second place went to rider Mohammed Al Asaker with a time of 53.56 seconds on "Cassiano", while rider Abdulaziz Khalid Al Bukhari came third with a time of 58.34 seconds and 65 points on "Luca".
The Longines Hathab Championship is one of the most prominent local equestrian tournaments, contributing to the development of riders' levels by providing an advanced competitive platform, as well as discovering and supporting national talents, thereby enhancing riders' readiness to represent the State of Qatar in various international forums.
