"This is unparalleled".. Turki Al Sheikh comments on what Maradona said in an interview about his controversial goal in 1986
(CNN)—Saudi Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al Sheikh cited a previous video of Argentine player Diego Maradona, recounting the famous incident where he struck the ball with his hand during a match against the English national team.

Al Sheikh reposted the video on his X platform (formerly Twitter) with the caption: "This is unparalleled."
Maradona's handball incident, widely known as the "Hand of God," was described by the man himself right after the match in a tone that was more playful and mischievous—far from any religious offense—like a child blaming his brother for stealing candy. When asked by the media, Maradona laughed and said, 'It must have been the hand of God.'
It was a moment that stunned the world; the diminutive player outsmarted the towering goalkeeper Peter Shilton, leaping high into the air, extending his arm, and clenching his fist, simply depositing the ball into the net.
As shocking and unjust as the play was, tension mounted as fans—both inside the stadium and watching on television—wondered whether the goal would be allowed or not.
And if cinema history was once described as being divided into two eras: before 'Gone with the Wind' and after, it can be said that World Cup history is also divided into two eras: before the 1986 match between England and Argentina and after—the match whose sole hero was Diego Armando Maradona.
