Brazilian defender André Giroto will undergo medical examinations on Thursday, a step before his official signing with Al-Faisaly, according to a source close to Al-Riyadiah. The source confirmed that the player arrived at the training camp of the team promoted to the Saudi Roshn League in Slovenia on Wednesday. The management of the Al-Qassimi club reached an agreement with the player, who played last season for Al-Taawoun, on the transfer if he passes the medical. Giroto joined the Al-Qassimi club in summer 2023 from French club Nantes, playing 98 matches, scoring 7 goals, receiving two red cards, and his market value is 2 million euros according to Transfermarkt. Additionally, the Al-Faisaly management signed a contract on Wednesday with Senegalese international Abdallah Seck, making him the third foreign player to join the team this summer after Cameroonian Christian Bassogog and Frenchman Alexandre Mendy.

Al-Faisaly's move to strengthen their defense comes as part of their preparations to compete in the Saudi Roshn League after promotion from the First Division.

Al-Faisaly seeks to build a strong team in preparation for the new season after returning to the top flight. The club relies on Giroto's previous experience in the Saudi league with Al-Taawoun. Additionally, the signing of a third foreign player reflects the management's ambition to compete. The team is expected to be completed in the coming days.
