Three days before the 2026 World Cup semi-final match against Spain, the French national team players held their training on Saturday at Bentley University, near Boston.

After suffering a minor ankle injury against Morocco in the quarter-finals, Kylian Mbappé attended the training, as did Aurélien Tchouaméni.

The captain of the Roosters ran with the starting players, hitting the ball without any problem whenever it passed in front of him, according to RMC.

Only William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano were absent from the training. According to the French national team's technical staff on the sidelines of the training session, it is only about load management and there is no need to worry about the defensive duo.

Saliba, the Arsenal defender who has been suffering from recurring back pain for several months, is following a modified training program that prevents him from taking part in group training sessions.

The starting players who took part in the quarter-final match against Morocco did light training without the ball.

According to the same source, 'Tchouaméni appears very comfortable changing direction of movement, which is reassuring.'

France faces Spain on Tuesday evening in the 2026 World Cup semi-final in Arlington near Dallas.
