The Red Sea Fund, one of the programs of the Red Sea Film Foundation, announced the selection of two Saudi film projects to participate in the 44th edition of the international 'Sud Ecriture' workshop, as part of its partnership with the program aimed at supporting the development of film projects and enhancing the presence of Saudi talents in global film forums. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Thursday, the selection included a project by director Nada Al-Wabel and another by director Zahra Zuhair, and the two projects will receive full funding to participate in the workshop, along with a specialized mentoring program under the supervision of an elite group of international experts in film script development. The 'Sud Ecriture' workshop is one of the most prominent international programs specialized in developing first and second feature film projects for screenwriters from Arab and African countries, as it offers the two Saudi projects an opportunity to develop their scripts and refine their artistic vision within a specialized mentoring program, under the supervision of an elite group of international experts in Arab and African cinema development. This selection comes as an extension of the Red Sea Fund's efforts to empower Saudi filmmakers and expand their access to international development and mentoring programs, thereby enhancing the presence of Saudi projects in the global film landscape and supporting the journey of talents at various stages of developing their works.
