The support targets projects that have completed filming and need to complete post-production work to reach their final version. It includes feature films and animated films with a duration of no less than 60 minutes, submitted by Arab directors, directors of Arab origin, or directors of African and Asian nationalities. This contributes to improving the quality of cinematic productions and enabling filmmakers to complete their projects.

Through four annual rounds, the fund continues to provide support for cinematic projects at various stages, from development and production to post-production, thereby enhancing the growth of the film sector and expanding opportunities for creative works to reach regional and international festivals and platforms.

Since its launch in 2021, the Red Sea Fund has supported over 280 films, with total grants amounting to $15 million, affirming its role in empowering cinematic talents and supporting the film industry in the Kingdom and the region.

The fund's role is not limited to financing; it also includes launching qualitative initiatives to support the film industry, including empowering women in the cinematic field, building partnerships with international film festivals, and offering awards to outstanding projects.
