Urgent: Al-Hilal Presses to Secure Casado Deal, Barcelona Paves Way for Midfielder's Departure
Al-Hilal club management is intensifying its moves to sign Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado during the summer transfer window, amid increasing indications that the player is close to leaving the Catalan club, although his final decision on moving to the Saudi Roshen League has not been made.
Spanish newspaper Marca reported in a report on Saturday that Barcelona and Casado have reached a mutual conviction in recent weeks that departure is the best option for both parties, opening the door for his agent, Portuguese Jorge Mendes, to search for a new destination that guarantees the player more playing minutes.

This approach came after Casado's role in Barcelona's lineup declined last season compared to his strong start with the first team, at a time when his chances of playing seem more difficult with the return of Pablo Gavi and Marc Bernal to fitness, increasing competition in midfield. According to the report, Al-Hilal is the most active party in the negotiations so far, benefiting from its large financial capabilities, as it presented a project that includes a tempting salary for the player, but Casado is still evaluating the move from a sporting perspective, initially preferring to stay in European stadiums. Nevertheless, the newspaper indicated that the player's position has evolved in recent days, after he showed greater flexibility towards the idea of moving to the Saudi league, especially in the absence of strong offers from major European clubs. The interest in Casado is not limited to Al-Hilal, as several European clubs are still monitoring his situation, led by Milan, while the interest of Atletico Madrid, which was among the first clubs to express its desire to sign the player during the current summer transfer window, has declined.
