The Referees Committee of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced the refereeing crew for the match between Egypt and Australia in the Round of 32 of the World Cup, scheduled for 9:00 PM next Friday (Mecca time) at Dallas Stadium.

The Egyptian Football Association stated in an official statement today, Wednesday, that the committee assigned the match to Uruguayan referee Gustavo Tejera, assisted by his compatriot Carlos Barreiro as first assistant, while Nicolás Tarán will serve as the second assistant referee from Uruguay.

Swiss Sandro Schärer will be the fourth official in the match, while his compatriot Stéphane De Almeida will act as the reserve assistant referee.

The Egyptian national team qualified for the Round of 32 of the World Cup after finishing second in Group Seven with 5 points, only behind the group leader Belgium on goal difference.

Similarly, the Australian national team qualified after finishing runner-up in Group Four with 4 points, ahead of third-placed Paraguay on goal difference, who qualified for the Round of 16 after a stunning upset eliminating four-time world champion Germany on penalties.
