After winning the World Cup.. Cucurella taunts Haaland with the famous song

Spanish Marc Cucurella revived his famous and mocking song about Norwegian star Erling Haaland during the welcome celebrations for the new world champion in Madrid.

Cucurella chanted into the microphone on the podium: 'Haaland trembles!' and the crowd responded enthusiastically according to the lyrics: 'Because Cucurella is coming!'

The Chelsea defender had sung a longer version of this song after Spain's Euro 2024 victory. At that time, Manchester City striker responded quickly just one month later by scoring a goal in their first meeting, where Haaland commented: 'Cucurella is a funny guy; last season he asked me for my shirt, and this summer he sings a song about me... It doesn't really matter to me.'

Later, Cucurella explained that the song was actually a tribute and recognition of Haaland's level, noting that composing a song named after a player only happens if he is a world-class star and unique, as no one sings about an unknown player.

Cucurella confirmed at the time that he did not regret his action and that he was ready to sing the song again, which he indeed did during the recent celebrations. This incident did not go unnoticed in Norway; it received extensive coverage in the media there, and a prominent headline on the front page of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation 'NRK' read: 'Cucurella sings about Haaland... again.'
