A Turkish fruit vendor promised to give away 500 kilograms of watermelons for free if Egyptian player Mohamed Salah joins Beşiktaş.

Reports linking the Egyptian Pharaoh to playing in the Turkish league are increasing after his departure from Liverpool this summer.

Al Jazeera's Turkish news account on Instagram posted a video of the Turkish fruit vendor promising to distribute half a ton of watermelons if Mohamed Salah joins Beşiktaş.

At the same time, Turkish network NTVSpor reported that the crisis over Salah's transfer to Beşiktaş is nearing resolution after the club reached an agreement with the player, while his agent's commission was the last obstacle to completing the deal.

Reports indicated that the club's management, led by Serdal Adalı, continued negotiations with Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, calmly and strategically, despite his high financial demands.

It added that Ramy Abbas had requested a commission of 35%, but he began to gradually reduce his demands, bringing the contracts closer to the final signing stage.

Reports confirmed that Beşiktaş is close to officially announcing the Salah deal as soon as the final details are agreed upon with the player's agent.
